This program reviews the legislative requirements relating to fall protection including; fall hazard awareness; safe use of ladders and scaffolds; Power Elevated Work Platforms; inspection of fall protection equipment; and the proper use of fall protection equipment. The practical component of this course will review the inspection and use of a harness and lanyard and other fall protection equipment such as a rope grab and life line, anchor point, and self-retracting life line. A record of training card will be issued upon successful completion of the course.
A valid Working at Heights ticket is a requirement for everyone working on a Local 27 jobsite.
You must have previously completed the full Working at Heights course in order to be approved for the refresher.
This course and all associated written learning materials and examinations are available in English only. If you need help with translation, reading, or writing, you may ask a friend or family member (who is not registered to attend the class) to assist you. If you require translation and/or literacy support, and you do not have anyone to assist you, please contact the office at least 48 hours prior to the start of the course.
Courses that do not meet minimum enrollment requirements will be cancelled.

Required Tools/Supplies:
Hard Hat, Safety Boots, Safety Glasses, Long Pants, and a T-shirt or Long-Sleeved Shirt (NO Shorts or Tank Tops Allowed). To avoid forfeiting your seat, course deposits must be paid 72 hours prior to the start date of the course.
Deposit Requirements: This is a high demand course. “No Shows” will not be tolerated for any reason. Individuals who fail to attend this class will forfeit their $100.00 course deposit (re: a refund WILL NOT be issued). If you are unable to attend your scheduled class, please cancel your enrollment THREE BUSINESS DAYS prior to the start date of the class. Thanks.
