This program addresses the legislative requirements relating to fall protection including; fall hazard awareness; safe use of ladders and scaffolds; Power Elevated Work Platforms; inspection of fall protection equipment; and the proper use of fall protection equipment. The practical component of this course will include the inspection and use of a harness and lanyard and other fall protection equipment such as a rope grab and life line, anchor point, and self-retracting life line. A record of training card will be issued on successful completion of the course. A valid Working at Heights ticket is required for everyone who works on a Local 27 jobsite.
This course and all associated written learning materials and examinations are available in English only. If you need help with translation, reading, or writing, you may ask a friend or family member (who is not registered to attend the class) to assist you. If you require translation and/or literacy support, and you do not have anyone to assist you, please contact the office at least 48 hours prior to the start of the course.

Theory: Computer/Tablet/Phone (with a working microphone and camera), Internet Access, Microsoft TEAMS (App or Web Access), and a VALID Email Address. Practical: PPE (Hard Hat, Safety Boots, Safety Glasses, Long Pants, T-Shirt or Long-Sleeved Shirt)). To avoid forfeiting your seat, course deposits must be paid 72 hours prior to the start date of the course.
Deposit Requirements: This is a high demand course. “No Shows” will not be tolerated for any reason. Individuals who fail to attend this class will forfeit their $100.00 course deposit (re: a refund WILL NOT be issued). If you are unable to attend your scheduled class, please cancel your enrollment THREE BUSINESS DAYS prior to the start date of the class. Thanks.
