Phase I or Basic Level schooling is the first of two levels of mandatory in-class training that every Floor Covering apprentice is required to successfully complete.
The course delivery have now changed to day release format.
It has changed from previous format of classes running all day, every day from Monday through Friday to the Day release which classes will only run on Every Thursday for 55 weeks
Apprentices will be required to attain 60% or higher in each of the four reportable subjects in order to pass Phase I. The four reportable subjects are: Trade Calculations; Floorplans & Layout; Trade Theory; and Trade Practice.
