This course will review the workers’ rights regarding health and safety matters: the right to know, the right to participate, and the right to refuse, as well as the history of WHMIS/GHS legislation, labels, Material Safety Data Sheets, routes of entry, hazard controls, and how WHMIS/GHS is applied in construction. A record of training card will be issued on successful completion of the course. Every worker is required by law to successfully complete WHMIS/GHS training before going out to work. WHMIS/GHS training must also be renewed every year.
