This course will review workers’ rights regarding health and safety matters.
The areas of training will include:

- The right to participate
- The right to refuse
- The history of WHMIS/GHS legislation
- Labels
- Material Safety Data Sheets
- Routs of entry
- Hazard controls
- How WHMIS/GHS is applied in construction
This is a self-guided online class. A link to the course material/exam will be sent via email on the day of the class. In order to receive certification, the course must be completed before 10:00PM on the date that it is assigned.
Course Delivery Format:
Completion of this course is mandatory for employment with Local 27, and must be renewed on a yearly basis.
This course and all associated written learning materials and examinations are available in English only.

Deposit Requirements: Course deposits are refunded upon course completion. Refunds will NOT be issued to students who fail to complete the training session on the date that it is assigned.
