This course is designed for apprentices who have learned welding during Basic Carpentry and who are interested in obtaining their CWB tickets and/or for members who need to recertify their CWB positions.
The course will begin with the introductory procedures and techniques that are required to safely cut and weld using both gas and arc welding. Students will then proceed to learn welding techniques as they relate to the four CWB positions: flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead.
Students may be eligible to challenge a CWB test at the end of the course, depending on the level of proficiency they have attained.
Course Delivery Format:
- IN PERSON: Tuesday and Thursday Evenings (5:00PM – 9:00PM)
- Students who miss the first day of class will lose their course deposit, and will be automatically removed from the class. (This rule applies to new students only. It does not apply to students who are looking to recertify their existing CWB tickets.)
This course and all associated written learning materials and examinations are available in English only.
Courses that do not meet minimum enrollment requirements will be cancelled.

Notebook, Pen, and PPE (Safety Boots, Glasses, and Work Gloves). Students must wear JEANS without holes and that fit over their work boots (RE: no skinny jeans). Jogging pants, leggings, and hi-vis shirts are NOT ALLOWED.
Deposit Requirements: This is a high demand course. “No Shows” will not be tolerated for any reason. Individuals who fail to attend this class will forfeit their $100.00 course deposit.
