This course will begin with the introductory procedures and techniques required to safely cut and weld using gas and arc welding. Students will then proceed to learn welding techniques as they relate to the four CWB positions: flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead. Students may be eligible to challenge a CWB test at the end of the course, depending on the level of proficiency they have attained.
This course and all associated written learning materials and examinations are available in English only. If you need help with translation, reading, or writing, you may ask a friend or family member (who is not registered to attend the class) to assist you. If you require translation and/or literacy support, and you do not have anyone to assist you, please contact the office at least 48 hours prior to the start of the course.
Courses that do not meet minimum enrollment requirements will be cancelled.

Required Tools/Supplies:
Notebook, Pen, and PPE (Safety Boots and Work Gloves). To avoid forfeiting your seat, course deposits must be paid 72 hours prior to the start date of the course.
Deposit Requirements: This is a high demand course. “No Shows” will not be tolerated for any reason. Individuals who fail to attend this class will forfeit their $100.00 course deposit (re: a refund WILL NOT be issued). If you are unable to attend your scheduled class, please cancel your enrollment THREE BUSINESS DAYS prior to the start date of the class. Thanks.
