The Working Mind (TWM) is part of the Opening Minds initiative, managed by the Mental Health Commission of Canada (MHCC). Launched by MHCC in 2013, TWM was developed by clinicians and peers and is based on scientific research and best practices.
This course is designed to increase your awareness of mental health, reduce stigma and other barriers to care in the workplace, encourage mental health conversations, strengthen your resilience in order to maintain wellness, and to help you to support yourself and others.
This course also offers practical knowledge to increase participants’ overall comfort level with mental illness.
Upon completing this course, you will understand mental health and mental illness, recognize its signs and indicators in yourself and others. You will also understand how to reduce stigma and negative attitudes towards people with mental health problems, how to improve their resilience, and how to maintain your own mental health.

Courses that do not meet minimum enrollment requirements will be cancelled.

Deposit Requirements: This is a high demand course. “No Shows” will not be tolerated for any reason. Individuals who fail to attend this class will forfeit their $100.00 course deposit.
