Summer programming is a chance for members who have limited availability on evenings and weekends to upgrade their skills. Please make your course selections carefully, as these classes are running during “normal working hours”.
This course focuses on the forklift operator’s responsibilities as defined by the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
The course includes information on:
- Safe operating procedures for all-terrain forklifts
- Forklift functions
- Proper maintenance and inspections
In order for a record of training to be issued, students must pass both the written exam and the practical evaluation. The practical evaluation is approximately three hours in length and will be scheduled after the theory portion of the class has concluded.
Course Delivery Format:
- IN PERSON
- Theory: Monday (8:00AM – 5:00PM) at 222 Rowntree Dairy Road
- Practical: Tuesday – Friday (Individual Sessions TBA and Scheduled Between 7:30AM – 4:00PM) at 222 Rowntree Dairy Rd
This course and all associated written learning materials and examinations are available in English only.
Courses that do not meet minimum enrollment requirements will be cancelled.

Pen/Pencil and PPE (Hard Hat, Safety Boots, Safety Glasses)
Deposit Requirements: This is a high demand course. “No Shows” will not be tolerated for any reason. Individuals who fail to attend this class will forfeit their $100.00 course deposit.
