This is a recognized Solid Surface Installer’s course. Students will be instructed in installation and repair techniques associated with solid surface products. Students will be required to demonstrate these techniques through the fabrication and installation of solid surface countertops and will be assessed on their understanding of the technical information associated with the product.
24 Hours: One Thursday evening and the following weekend (Saturday & Sunday)
This course and all associated written learning materials and examinations are available in English only. If you need help with translation, reading, or writing, you may ask a friend or family member (who is not registered to attend the class) to assist you. If you require translation and/or literacy support, and you do not have anyone to assist you, please contact the office at least 48 hours prior to the start of the course.
Courses that do not meet minimum enrollment requirements will be cancelled.
Theory: Computer/Tablet/Phone (with a working microphone and camera), Internet Access, Microsoft TEAMS (App or Web Access), and a VALID Email Address. Practical: Block plane, measuring tape, 1" chisel, hammer, utility knife, PPE, notebook and pen. To avoid forfeiting your seat, course deposits must be paid 72 hours prior to the start date of the course.
Deposit Requirements: This is a high demand course. “No Shows” will not be tolerated for any reason. Individuals who fail to attend this class will forfeit their $100.00 course deposit (re: a refund WILL NOT be issued). If you are unable to attend your scheduled class, please cancel your enrollment THREE BUSINESS DAYS prior to the start date of the class. Thanks.

*Note: This course is available to General Carpenter Journeypersons only. A familiarity of routers and trim, as well as and an ability to work to close tolerances, are also assets.
