This course is designed for journeymen and apprentice Carpenters who have an interest in the behind-the-scene work in carpentry. In this introductory course, members will improve their skills through several platforms and systems, SketchUp Pro, ProCore, and MasterFormat. This course will increase your Professional Competency based on members’ Technical Competency and add more skills to your toolbox.
Members will develop new skills in planning, estimating, documenting, and executing a brief presentation to deliver a project through these softwares. This course will bring awareness to members to understand the importance of Building Modeling Information (BIM), how carpentry is developing, and where our Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry is heading in residential and commercial projects.
This course and all associated written learning materials and examinations are available in English only. If you need translation assistance, you are welcome to bring a translator (friend or Family member, who is not registered to attend the class) to the course with you. If you have other literacy or reading challenges, you may also bring a reader to assist you. If you do not have anyone to help you with either your translation or reading needs, please contact our office as soon as possible before the course so that we can arrange assistance for you.
If minimum enrolment is not met the course will be cancelled.
