This course is designed for journeymen and apprentice Carpenters who have an interest in the behind-the-scenes work in carpentry. In this introductory course, members will improve their skills through several platforms and systems, SketchUp Pro, ProCore, and MasterFormat. This course will increase your Professional Competency based on members’ Technical Competency and add more skills to your toolbox.
Members will develop new skills in planning, estimating, documenting, and executing a brief presentation to deliver a project through these softwares. This course will bring awareness to members to understand the importance of Building Modeling Information (BIM), how carpentry is developing, and where our Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry is heading in residential and commercial projects.
This course and all associated written learning materials and examinations are available in English only. If you need help with translation, reading, or writing, you may ask a friend or family member (who is not registered to attend the class) to assist you. If you require translation and/or literacy support, and you do not have anyone to assist you, please contact the office at least 48 hours prior to the start of the course.
Courses that do not meet minimum enrollment requirements will be cancelled.

Pen and Paper. To avoid forfeiting your seat, course deposits must be paid 72 hours prior to the start date of the course.
Deposit Requirements: Course deposits are refunded upon course completion. Refunds will NOT be issued to students who fail to attend, who exceed the maximum allowable absence(s) permitted by the course, and/or to students who are removed from the course at the discretion of the Instructor(s). Please allow 2-3 weeks for refunds to be processed.
