This course focuses on safe procedures and erection methods for Systems and Tube and Clamp scaffolds in the Ontario Construction Industry. Safe erection and dismantling of scaffolds will be the focus of the course which will include a written exam and a practical pass/fail assessment.
Successful completion of this course is required to work at Ontario Power Generation (OPG) Nuclear Facilities.
Course Delivery Format:
- IN PERSON: Tuesdays and Thursdays (5:00PM – 9:00PM)
- IN PERSON: Saturdays and Sundays (7:30AM – 5:30PM)
*The first week of this class is theory only (Tuesday and Thursday evening). Practical classes (Saturday and Sunday) start during the second week of the course.*
This course and all associated written learning materials and examinations are available in English only.
Courses that do not meet minimum enrollment requirements will be cancelled.

- Canadian Scaffold Program Level 1
Required Tools/Supplies:
Pen/pencil/marker, notebook, tool pouch, 25' tape measure, hammer 20oz, torpedo level 9", chalk line, adjustable wrench or speed wrench, and PPE,(Hard Hat, Boots, Glasses).
Deposit Requirements: This is a high demand course. “No Shows” will not be tolerated for any reason. Individuals who fail to attend this class will forfeit their $100.00 course deposit.
