Print Reading

This course covers the basics of blueprint reading.

Areas of instruction will include:

  • A review of drawing techniques (e.g., isometric, orthographic drafting)
  • The associated alphabet of lines and symbols, and scaling
  • Different views associated with drawings (e.g., section, plan, and elevation) and their application
  • Residential and light commercial prints will be reviewed.

 Course Delivery Format:

  • IN PERSON: Saturdays (7:30AM – 3:00PM)

Courses that do not meet minimum enrollment will be cancelled. 

This course and all associated written learning materials and examinations are available in English only

Prerequisites: None

Required Textbooks:
  • Printreading for Residential and Light Commercial Construction (6th Edition)

Required Tools/Supplies: Pen/Pencil, Notebook/Paper

Deposit Requirements: This is a high demand course. “No Shows” will not be tolerated for any reason. Individuals who fail to attend this class will forfeit their $100.00 course deposit.
