This course is available to members who have either completed Intermediate Carpentry or the Residential Trim Course, or who work in the Commercial Trim sector.
Curriculum topics will include: interpreting prints and shop drawings, millwork layout, cabinet handling and install, installing crown molding and built up trim, as well as fabricating and installing panel frames.
Duration: 6 Saturdays (In-Person)
Prerequisites: Completion of either Intermediate Carpentry or the Residential Trim Course, or experience in the Commercial Trim sector. Individuals who wish to take this class based on work experience must present a letter of request from their current employer to the CCAT’s Program Director, Tony Currie (tcurrie@theccat.ca).
Students must bring hand tools on Saturdays; including, a block plane, a coping saw, and a wood chisel set.
This course and all associated written learning materials and examinations are available in English only. If you need help with translation, reading, or writing, you may ask a friend or family member (who is not registered to attend the class) to assist you. If you require translation and/or literacy support, and you do not have anyone to assist you, please contact the office at least 48 hours prior to the start of the course.
Courses that do not meet minimum enrollment requirements will be cancelled.

Deposit Requirements: This is a high demand course. “No Shows” will not be tolerated for any reason. Individuals who fail to attend this class will forfeit their $100.00 course deposit (re: a refund WILL NOT be issued).
