This course consists of a comprehensive review of all areas of General Carpentry in order to prepare students to challenge the Red Seal exam. Students will also be coached in time management skills, developing effective study habits, and strategies for writing multiple-choice exams.
This course and all associated written learning materials and examinations are available in English only. If you need help with translation, reading, or writing, you may ask a friend or family member (who is not registered to attend the class) to assist you. If you require translation and/or literacy support, and you do not have anyone to assist you, please contact the office at least 48 hours prior to the start of the course.
Courses that do not meet minimum enrollment requirements will be cancelled.

Required Tools/Supplies:
Computer/Tablet/Phone (with a working microphone and camera), Internet Access, Microsoft TEAMS (App or Web Access), and a VALID Email Address. To avoid forfeiting your seat, course deposits must be paid 72 hours prior to the start date of the course.
Deposit Requirements: Course deposits are refunded upon course completion. Refunds will NOT be issued to students who fail to attend, who exceed the maximum allowable absence(s) permitted by the course, and/or to students who are removed from the course at the discretion of the Instructor(s). Please allow 2-3 weeks for refunds to be processed.

*Note: This course is open to Jouneyperson carpenters with Local 27. 4th term General Carpenter apprentices who wish to take this class must meet the guidelines set out by the Ministry of Immigration, Training and Skills Development regarding the completion of General Carpenter apprenticeship schooling (completion of Phase I, Phase II & Phase III AND 5,400 working hours).
