This course meets the requirements of Ontario Regulation 297/13 made under the Occupational Health and Safety Act requiring any worker (new or existing) to have proof of completing a Basic Occupational Health and Safety Awareness course.
The areas of training will include:

- The duties and rights of the worker
- Duties of the employer and supervisor
- Roles of health and safety representatives and JHSCs
- The role of the MOL and other workplace parties
- Common workplace hazards
This is a self-guided online class. A link to the course material/exam will be sent via email on the day of the class. In order to receive certification, the course must be completed before 10:00PM on the date that it is assigned.
Course Delivery Format:
Completion of this course is mandatory for employment with Local 27.
This course and all associated written learning materials and examinations are available in English only.
