This course takes drafting with paper and pencil skills and transfers them to the AutoCAD environment. You will explore: the AutoCAD interface; create basic and complex objects’; use zoom and pan; utilize the coordinate system and methods of point entry; use basic and advanced modify commands; work with polylines; apply drawing setup procedures; create and edit layers; add annotations, etc. The first part of the course will focus on acquiring drawing skills that will then be applied to creating architectural drawings in the latter part of the course.
