Phase III or Advanced Level schooling is the third of three levels of mandatory in-class training that every General Carpenter apprentice is required to successfully complete. Phase III is 9 full-time weeks long; classes run all day, every day from Monday through Friday. Apprentices will be required to attain 60% or higher in each of the three reportable subjects in order to pass Phase III. The three reportable subjects are: Commercial Construction; Plans, Specifications, & Codes III; and Estimating, Calculations, & Layout III. The 9th and final week will review all trade areas in preparation for writing the Red Seal Certificate of Qualification Exam on the last day of class.
Advanced seats are reserved for apprentices who are at the point of challenging the C of Q exam to ensure the best possible outcomes and success rates. Therefore, apprentices need to have 5400 working hours on file with the Training Centre in order to be approved for General Carpenter – Phase 3.

The tools and textbooks from General Carpenter - Phase I and Phase 2 are also required for this course. To apply for this class you must have a vaild contract of apprenticeship registered with the Training Centre.
