Commercial Door and Hardware | 7845
This course is designed for members who have completed Advanced Carpentry, or for members/apprentices who are workingin the door and hardware sector and who want to improve their skills.
Course curriculum includes:
-Interpreting door and hardware schedules
-Door handling and care
-Lock types and functions
-Various door installation challenges
-Installing exit hardware, door closers, automatic door operators, electric strikes, and magnetic locks
Course Delivery Format:
IN PERSON: Thursday Evenings (5:00PM – 9:00PM)
IN PERSON: Saturdays (7:30AM – 3:00PM)
Students are required to bring hand tools on Saturdays. Required Tools/Supplies:
Notebook, pen, calculator, pouch, hammer, tape measure, combination square, bench plane, blockplane, awl, utility knife, 1/4" to 1" chisels, tap wrench and PPE.
This course and all associated written learning materials and examinations are available in English only.
Courses that do not meet minimum enrollment requirements will be cancelled.

Deposit Requirements:
There is no deposit required for this course. However, if you drop out, fail to attend, or are expelled from the program, you will be required to pay $100 before being accepted into future courses.
